“Oh Lord, hear my voice!” While God can hear our prayers spoken and unspoken, the psalmist encourages us to vocalize our prayers! When was the last time you prayed out loud? Today, turn up the volume of your prayers… Try praying out loud by yourself, or maybe with others. If doing it spontaneously is a stretch, try writing out a prayer of your own in your journal, and then reading it as intercession before God. Where do you need God to meet you, friends, or family this season of Advent? Jack Miller said it this way: “Prayer is talking to God about your needs on the basis of Jesus’s name.” Talk to Him about real needs that are pressing in your life!
